Sawai Jaisingh II Sawai Jaisingh II, the founder of Jaipur town and a famous ruler in the field of culture and science, was born on November 3, 1688.  After the death of his father, Jaisingh became the king of Amer at the age of 11.  The Mughal emperor gave him the title of Sawai.  Sawai Jayasinghe founded the town of Jaipur in 1727 AD as a wonderful example of planning and architecture.  He shifted his state capital from Aamer to the newly established Jaipur.  Since Jaisingh had a keen interest in astrology and science, he did in-depth study and research on it, improving the calculations of the prevailing astrology.  The tables of European and Islamic astronomers also showed impurities.  He wrote a book on astrological calculations called "Jij Muhammadshahi".  Observatories were set up at Jaipur, Delhi, Ujjain, Mathura and Kashi.  Jantar Mantar was established in 1724 in Delhi.  Sawai Jayasinghe invented the Samrat Yantra, an instrument used to measure the height of the Sun), the Jayaprakash Yantra (a measuring instrument for astronomical objects), the Ramamantra (a device for measuring the height of stars), etc.  He also composed the Jayavinod Panchag and Samrat Siddhanta.  Sawai Jai Singh II died on September 21, 1743.  Amartya Sen Amartya Sen, a well known Indian economist, was born on November 3, 1933 in Santiniketan, West Bengal to a Bengali Hindu family.  His ancestors were originally from Wari in present-day Bangladesh.  Rabindranath Tagore named him Amartya Sen.  Amartya Sen received his primary education in Dhaka but further studied at Santiniketan.  Amartya Sen, who is already interested in mathematics and economics, graduated from Presidency College, Kolkata with a bachelor's degree in economics and a PhD from Cambridge University.  He became the first Chairperson of the Department of Economics at Jadavpur University, Kolkata.  Between 1963 and 1971, he was Professor of Economics at the Delhi School of Economics.  He is currently working as a Professor at Harvard University, USA.  He also served as a professor at various universities abroad.  In 1998, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics for his interest in economics and theories of social choice, as well as his interest in the issues of the poor in society.  Amartya Sen is lauded for his work on the drought, as it has accelerated the development of measures to prevent or limit the effects of actual or so-called food shortages.  Amartya Sen has been awarded many prizes.  He was awarded the Mahalonovis Prize in 1976, the Frank Seedman Award in 1986, the Senator Agnelli International Prize of Ethics in 1990, and the World Hunger Award in 1990.  Were made.  He was awarded the Bharat Ratna by the Government of India in 1999.  He holds more than 90 honorary degrees from universities around the world.  His books are Collective Choice and Social Welfare, On Ethics and Economics.  He has authored more than 30 books and edited more than 300 research articles.  His books
